Building Beyond the Base: My Quawd Journey

When I joined Quawd, I did not fully anticipate how deeply this internship would shape me, not only professionally, but personally as well. Stepping in as an HR Executive, I came with a solid foundation in organisation and communication. What I gained over time, however, was a far deeper understanding of people, processes, and the value of taking initiative.

Quawd already had a strong base in place. There were systems, structure, and a collaborative team environment. What stood out to me was the freedom to build beyond that foundation. It was an opportunity not just to follow processes, but to strengthen and expand them. That freedom became the most exciting part of my journey.

Going Beyond the Conventional HR Role

During my time at Quawd, I led and initiated multiple outreach projects that extended beyond traditional HR responsibilities. From launching new initiatives to building collaborative networks, I focused on ensuring that communication was not only effective internally, but also meaningful outside the organisation.

Whether it involved bringing in new opportunities, streamlining workflows, or maintaining a consistent brand voice, I approached each task with intent and ownership. The goal was always the same: to add a personal, human touch to every process.

Building Connections That Matter

What made this experience especially rewarding were the connections I built along the way. I was not simply working for Quawd, I was working with it, alongside individuals who brought diverse perspectives and energy to the table.

I connected with people across departments, industries, and cities. Each interaction added to my understanding of the professional world and my role within it. Some of these connections contributed directly to Quawd’s growth, while others played an equally important role in shaping my own.

Designing Human-Centred Systems

I also made a conscious effort to take on work beyond the HR umbrella. I found myself drawn to employer branding initiatives, creating personalised payslip delivery templates, supporting recruitment and onboarding flows, and ensuring that all communication remained clear and human, even when automated.

Refining the employee experience became something I genuinely enjoyed, whether it was improving front-end interactions or strengthening back-end systems. From collecting salary and reimbursement details to maintaining records and generating structured payslips, I remained hands-on with operations without losing sight of the people behind the data.

Numbers filled the spreadsheets, but people gave the work its purpose.

Quawd gave me the space to experiment, to lead, to build, and most importantly, to evolve. As I move forward, I carry with me everything I learned here, every spreadsheet, every brainstorm, every conversation.

While my time at Quawd has come to an end, the foundation I built here, much like the one I was trusted to build upon, will continue to shape my journey for years to come.
